Cheap Insurance Tips
There are a number of things you can do to ensure you get the cheapest and most suitable insurance for you:
- Always shop around and get quotes from a number of insurance companies.
- Don't take insurance offered by your tour operator, car vendor, mobile phone shop etc. Shop around to get the best deal.
- Talk to your friends and family about the insurance they pay and whether they can recommend an insurance company.
- Always check the details of any policy carefully to check it covers what you want it to.
- Sometimes specialist insurance companies can offer budget prices if you fit their description (e.g. women drivers), so always get a quote from them where possible.
- Some sites on the Internet offer comparison tables of different insurance policies - take advantage of them where you can.
- Don't take insurance you don't need. E.g. life insurance is not generally necessary if you don't have dependants.
- Make sure you don't have the same insurance twice. For example an endowment policy will already have life insurance included with it so it would be pointless to take out a separate policy.
